PIT-UK has an annual meeting involving presentations and workshops for those interested in developing their skills and knowledge in PIT. The meetings are usually held towards the end of November.
2026 Annual Day conference
Equality, diversity, inclusion and racial equity and PIT
This will be held on Friday 20th November at St Thomas Centre
“This year the conference will explore how equality, diversity, inclusion and racial equity are encountered in psychodynamic interpersonal therapy. Drawing on core PIT principles – feeling-language, minute particulars, the here and now, mutuality, negotiation, hypotheses and rupture repair – the day will consider how difference enters the therapeutic relationship and how therapists may respond when issues of racism, culture and power become emotionally alive in the room.
The day will include two talks, small-group discussion, and PIT-informed role play workshops. Participants will be invited to reflect on clinical practice, supervision, training and organisational responsibility”.
